International Feminist Speaker's Collaborative of FSR, Inc.
The mission of the International Feminists Speakers' Collaborative (IFSC) is to create sustaining networks of feminist scholars and activists in religion. In service of this goal, the members of IFSC embrace feminist praxis in the process of invitation and delivery of lectures and presentations. This document focuses on the context of speakers in colleges, universities, and academic institutions, but may also apply to other settings. IFSC does not negotiate speaking engagements, and the commitments of IFSC are not contractual or binding.
This project is the brainchild of a small group involved in the JFSR Teaching for Change conference held at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the summer of 2005. Its organizers are all volunteers, and membership in the project has been somewhat fluid. For further information you may contact one or more of the following early organizers: Nami Kim, Gabriella Lettini, Jennifer Bird, Monica Coleman, Michelene Pesantubbee, Wai-Ching Wong, Shelly Matthews, and Katie Cannon.
