NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS
The Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion welcomes a variety of contributions that focus not only on women's experience or on gender as a category of analysis but also   work within a feminist theoretical framework that analyzes the intersections of gender,race, class, and other structures of domination Contributions should further feminist theory, movements , consciousness, and practice s . We are looking for material of several types and formats: scholarly, critical, and constructive articles, review essays (reviews of recent literature on a given topic), reports of significant feminist projects related to religion, liturgies, poetry, letters, and ideas for roundtable discussions. 

Manuscript Guidelines:
Manucripts submitted should not be under consideration elsewhere. In order to protect anonymity, the author's name should appear only on a separate cover sheet. A 150-word abstract must be included on the CD-ROM in all article submissions.  

Manuscripts should be typewritten, double-spaced, not less than twenty or more than twenty-five pages long, and submitted in duplicate; a CD-ROM ( or PC-formatted disk ) containing the manuscript should also be submitted. Twelve point font is   required. All pages on the manuscript should be numbered. Form should follow footnote style in The Chicago Manual of Style , 15th ed. All papers appropriate for the JFSR will be sent out anonymously to at least two reviewers, on whose judgment the editors rely. While the JFSR is not restricted to any one conception of feminism and seeks to represent the widest possible range of religious feminist perspectives, it's   criteria of evaluation are feminist. Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts not only on the basis of their scholarly competence but also on the basis of their contribution to feminist theory, their acquaintance with significant issues in the women's movement, and their vision of social and/or religious change. Writing that is in any way sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory will not be accepted. All manuscripts are subject to editorial modification.

Poetry Guidelines:
Poetry submitted should not be under consideration elsewhere. In order to protect anonymity, the poet's name should appear only on a separate cover sheet. Poetry must be submitted in duplicate with a CD-ROM (or PC-formatted disk) containing the poetry.

One copy of the poetry will be returned if accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope. 

All poetry appropriate for the JFSR will be sent out anonymously to at least two reviewers, on whose judgment the editors rely heavily. While the JFSR is a feminist journal, please note that the focus of the Journal is feminist studies in religion .   As a feminist journal, JFSR is not restricted to any one conception of feminism and seeks to represent the widest possible range of feminist perspectives. Reviewers are asked to evaluate creative pieces not only on the basis of their poetical mechanics but also on the basis of their religious content, contribution to feminist theory, their acquaintance with significant issues in the women's movement, and their vision of social and/or religious change.   Writing that is in any way sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory will not be accepted.   All poetry is subject to editorial modification.
