@theTable: “Planetary Solidarity”
FSR Blog’s fourth @theTable series invites you to our panel conversation around the topic of “Planetary Solidarity.” This panel comes out of a recent collected volume Planetary Solidarity: Global Women’s Voices on Christian Doctrine and Climate Justice (Fortress Press, 2017). We are privileged to showcase some of the work within the volume with short blogs that highlight key insights from several author chapters. Should you find their viewpoints and arguments compelling, we hope you will seek out the fuller published pieces and others like them within the Planetary Solidarity volume.
The time for a feminist conversation about Planetary Solidarity is now. As co-editors Grace Ji-Sun Kim and Hilda P. Koster state in their introduction, “a focus on women is warranted because theological and ecclesial documents too often do not spell out the ways climate change affects poor and indigenous women around the globe.” We at FSR, Inc. hope that this @theTable series will inspire you to join this conversation about the various ways in which climate justice and feminism(s) meet in religion, as well as explore where we must go to have a more inclusive future.
There is no set call for blogs for this panel; however, if you feel called to join the conversation in response to any of the published pieces, we welcome your open submissions:
