“Off the Press” is an FSR series that highlights the exciting news and accomplishments of our FSR Board membership that they wish to be shared with the wider community.
- Megan Goodwin (EFSR) published “Unpacking the Bunker: Sex, Abuse, and Apocalypticism in ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’” CrossCurrents (2019) and was interviewed for podcast on the “Challenges and Responsibilities for the Public Scholar of Religion” (The Religious Studies Project).
- Kathleen Gallagher Elkins’s (JFSR) book Mary, Mother of Martyrs: How Motherhood Became Self-Sacrifice in Early Christianity (FSR Press) was reviewed by Mary E. Hunt (former EFSR) in “Women are fully human agents of social, political change” (National Catholic Report).
