Assistant Professor Gender and Women’s Studies
The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at Western Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning fall 2015. The position requires a Ph.D. in Gender and Women’s Studies or related field, completed or expected by June 2015, as well as experience teaching interdisciplinary Gender and Women’s Studies courses. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated potential for teaching and research focused on women and communities of color. Applicants whose work focuses on African Americans are strongly encouraged to apply. The new faculty hire will join six colleagues with full appointments in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, who typically teach two classes per semester, pursue scholarly research, and contribute to student and program development.
