Off the Press (December 2020)
“Off the Press” is an FSR series that highlights the exciting news and accomplishments of our FSR Board membership that they wish to be shared with the wider community.

Naomi Goldenberg (JFSR) and Kathleen McPhillips (JFSR) have published a new volume: The End of Religion: Feminist Reappraisals of the State.
Grace Ji-Sun Kim’s (FSR) new book is now out: Hope in Disarray: Piecing Our Lives Together in Faith.
Kate Ott (JFSR), along with Amy Levad, Kate Blanchard, Shannon Craigo-Snell, and Hannah Bowman, responded to Rev. Nikia Robert’s call for the need for a resource created for and by white people to do their own work on ending structural racism. The result is breakdownwhiteness.org.
Phillis I. Sheppard (JFSR) has been named the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Associate Professor of Religion, Psychology and Culture at Vanderbilt University.
N.B. If you are an FSR Board member and want something to be shared in a future “Off the Press” announcement, please contact the JFSR submissions editor, Lauren D. Sawyer ([email protected]).
